Football fever grips South Africa ahead of this summer's world cup as this huge lion gets to grip with the beautiful game. Casting an image that will inspire England's own lions the majestic cat plays with his favourite football at his enclosure in Johannesburg Zoo. Footy mad Triton, an 11-year-old male who was born at the zoo, likes soccer so much he refuses to play ball with any of the seven females he shares his enclosure with.

Lioness Takes A Nap On Top Of Handler

Shanta, a lioness who lives who lives at the Cedar Cove Feline Sanctuary in Kansas, is seen here dozing on her handler, Steve. But really, if a lion is using you as bedding, I don’t think that you can legitimately claim to be her “handler”. The relationship has been reversed at some point.
